CONTRAINDICATIONS

Refers to some medical conditions for which massage is not appropriate due to possibly having a negative effect on the body or the condition.

Here is a list of contraindications in which contact with your physician should be made prior to you receiving a massage:
  • Contagious skin conditions

  • Fever
  • Recent surgery
  • Stroke
  • History of embolism or thrombus (Thrombophlebitis)
  • Aneurysms
  • Circulatory problems including hypertension, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease
  • Certain forms of Cancer
